Speaker: SUSAN EISNER, MPH, CASAC, President of Visionary Health Solutions. Susan is recognized by the NY State Education Department’s (SED's) State Board for Social Work, as an approved provider of continuing education for LMSWs and LCSWs, #0210. Other certifications include: Certified Education and Training Provider (in Addictions) #1134, OASAS; CASAC #6340 (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor); Certified Corporate Stress Management Trainer; Certified Anger Management Professional; and Certified Corporate and Personal Coach.
GOAL: In this experiential seminar, social workers, CCM board certified case managers and others will learn to better relationships with their clients/patients and their family members and colleagues, via better communication.
OBJECTIVES: At the close of this seminar participants will be able to:
1. define elements and bodily components of communication, including heart-centered, non-violent communication;
2. describe assertive vs. passive, aggressive, and passive-aggressive and other destructive forms of communication;
3. practice techniques to identify, feel and express emotions, as well as to “reflectively” or “actively” listen;
4. do in-class practice of CUTTING-EDGE guided imagery skills, and role-plays of techniques

This seminar is free, however, to reserve your spot, we require a $10 deposit, which will be returned to you at the conclusion of the event.
