Presenters will share their perspectives on how awareness of racial and cultural inequities in these areas can help us build more culturally competent services for our communities.

Speakers:

Winsome Dyer Bio (.doc)

Winsome J. H Dyer-Anthony is a professional Social Worker.  She is a graduate of Hunter College and Fordham university School of Social Work.  She also earned her Certification in Palliative Care from NYU.

Dyer has selflessly chosen to concentrate her impact on the lives of the nation’s veterans, particularly those who face the final chapters of their lives. As a palliative care team member, she has distinguished herself as a restorer of dignity and unquestionable worth to the minds of those who served yesterday and often go forgotten. She extends her services way beyond those directly in her care to include the family and friends of the veterans. She is celebrated as one who positions each client as worthy of the greatest care, attention and respect thus enabling other Palliative Care staff members to serve with excellence.
